New York/Berlin – October 4, 2024 – Ada Health Inc. (‘Ada Health’) along with its parent company, Ada Health GmbH today, announced significant expansions to its leadership team, to drive its commitment to innovation and US growth. Key appointments include Patrick Wetherille as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Jacob Plummer as Ada’s Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). Graham French, who currently serves as Chief Technology Officer, will also be taking on the role of Chief Quality Officer (CQO).
These leadership changes come as Ada continues to expand its global reach and enterprise partnerships. With availability in nearly 150 countries and 11 languages, Ada now serves over 14 million users worldwide. Through its enterprise partnerships, over 50 million patients have access to Ada.
"At Ada Health, we're not just witnessing a healthcare revolution – we're actively shaping it,” said Daniel Nathrath, co-founder and CEO of Ada Health. “Our expanded leadership team represents an investment in diverse expertise and innovative thinking. As we navigate this critical juncture in healthcare, where AI and human insight must work in tandem, these additions will accelerate our ability to deliver cutting-edge solutions that address the most pressing challenges in patient care and health system efficiency.”
As the company continues to grow and provide long-term value creation for its users and existing partners, these new hires will play a key role in supporting initiatives that bolster the brand, its products, and its partnerships.
Patrick Wetherille joins the Ada team from Everyday Health Group, where he served as Managing Director. Previously, as CEO at Lose It!, he guided the company’s steady growth by building a lasting, positive company culture. At Ada, he will take charge of daily operations while shaping the organization's strategic vision of empowering individuals to actively manage their health and access appropriate care by utilizing Ada's free consumer app and leveraging Ada’s partnerships with leading health systems, payers, and life sciences companies.
“Ada has a unique opportunity to leverage AI and data to transform how people access and experience healthcare globally,” said Patrick Wetherille, COO. “By focusing our resources on extending Ada’s best-in-class assessment technology, we will accelerate our mission to deliver reliable, actionable, and effective medical guidance to more patients globally."
Jacob Plummer joins the Ada team after five years leading client success teams at Datavant, where he played a critical role in helping global life sciences companies and U.S. health plans unlock insights from connected health data. Prior to Datavant, Jacob served as the CEO at HealthDataLink until its acquisition, and at Allscripts, where he led health system sales across the U.S. and the Middle East. In his new role, Jacob will focus on expanding Ada’s smart patient routing solutions, which use artificial intelligence to improve care delivery for some of the world’s largest health systems.
“As our population grows, the demand for quick, high-quality, and affordable care requires a smart care navigation system,” said Jacob Plummer, CCO. “Ada’s white-labeled AI-powered system integrates with some of the largest health systems in the world today and we’re looking forward to our continued expansion. There are so many opportunities to proactively improve patients’ health that most people are not aware of—they may be at elevated risk for a condition not yet diagnosed or eligible for treatments they don’t know about. As a trusted partner to health systems and life sciences companies, Ada is well-positioned to guide people to life-enhancing options not currently on their radar.”
As part of this transition, Vanessa Lemarié is handing over her role as CQO to Graham French as she departs after an impactful tenure at Ada Health. The company thanks her for her invaluable contributions and wishes her well in her future endeavors.
Graham French will continue to spearhead the strategy and execution of Ada's initiatives as he continues his role as CTO and takes on the CQO role. In this capacity, he will ensure that Ada’s technological advancements not only set the benchmark for the industry but also uphold the highest standards of quality and reliability. Prior to joining Ada, Graham held senior engineering roles at both Amazon and Meta.
In addition, Ada promotes two new members to the executive leadership team: Stephanie Yang, Senior Vice President of Finance, and Shireen Saxena, Vice President of External Affairs and Chief of Staff.
“Following a year of remarkable growth, we're proud to continue investing in top talent like Shireen and Stephanie,” said Daniel Nathrath, co-founder and CEO of Ada Health. “Shireen's expertise in forging global partnerships and Stephanie's financial acumen have been instrumental in Ada’s growth. Both bring a unique set of perspectives and experiences that have played a critical role in how we look at addressing complex healthcare challenges at Ada.”
